Sharpening is personal. Here’s why EDGY earned a place on our bench.

Sharpening is personal, and we have always treated it that way.


There are synthetic whetstones and natural ones, diamond stones, stone wheels, belt grinders, local sharpening services, and mail-in providers. Edge preferences vary too — sharpening angle, degree of polish, steel type all factor in. We have never believed in one-size-fits-all, and we have never promoted a particular sharpening tool. That position held for years.
